A |     New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday kickstarted the distribution of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana - Mukhyamantri Amrutam, (PMJAY-MA) Ayushman cards in Gujarat via video conferencing.

"The Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana - Mukhyamantri Amrutam, (PMJAY-MA) Ayushman cards will ensure top quality and affordable medical care," he said.

Referring to the spirit of 'Sarve Santu Niramaya' (May all be free of diseases), the Prime Minister said Ayushman Yojana aims for health for all.

He appreciated the enormity of the campaign of distributing 50 lakh cards to the people in the state.

"This bears testimony to the sensitivity of the Gujarat Government. We have been hearing about health insurance in many countries of the world but India is going beyond that, ensuring health assurance," he said.

"In the earlier governments, schemes for the benefit of the common man had become a mere formality. The money that was spent on these schemes was done keeping in mind a particular area and political interests. It was necessary to change this situation and we took the lead in this change. Today when planning is done, we first study the condition of common citizens and study their needs," he said.

The Prime Minister also interacted with the beneficiaries of PMJAY-MA Yojana Ayushman cards.

Interacting with Piyushbhai from Tuwar in Banaskantha, the Prime Minister enquired about his family and his recent health conditions. The Prime Minister was happy to know that the Ayushman Bharat scheme had given him a new lease on life. Modi assured him that the government will always take care of everyone like him.

The Prime Minister interacted with Shri Damor Lalabhai Somabhai from Mahisagar and inquired if his cancer treatment went through well.

UNI ASU SHK2258。     पीटीआई, मुंबई। महाराष्ट्र में कबूतरखानों को बंद करने को लेकर उत्पन्न हुए विवाद के बीच राज्य सरकार ने बांबे हाई कोर्ट के निर्देशानुसार मानव स्वास्थ्य पर कबूतरों के प्रभाव का अध्ययन के लिए एक समिति गठित की है।

हाई कोर्ट ने  एक समिति गठित करने को कहा था

हाई कोर्ट ने 13 अगस्त को तीन रिट याचिकाओं पर सुनवाई करते हुए सरकार से कबूतरों से जुड़े स्वास्थ्य संबंधी खतरों और सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर उन्हें दाना डालने के चलन का अध्ययन करने के लिए एक समिति गठित करने को कहा था।,शहरी विकास विभाग ने 22 अगस्त को एक आदेश जारी कर पुणे के जन स्वास्थ्य सेवा निदेशक विजय कांदेवाड की अध्यक्षता में 13 सदस्यीय समिति गठित करने का आदेश जारी किया।

समिति में ये लोग भी शामिल

इसके अन्य सदस्यों में बांबे नेचुरल हिस्ट्री सोसाइटी, महाराष्ट्र पशु कल्याण बोर्ड, भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान अनुसंधान परिषद (आइसीएमआर), एम्स नागपुर के प्रतिनिधि, मुंबई के श्वसन रोग विशेषज्ञ, सूक्ष्म जीव विज्ञानी और बीएमसी के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी शामिल हैं। समिति कबूतरों की बीट के स्वास्थ्य पर पड़ने वाले प्रभाव, पक्षियों को सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर खिलाने के साथ ही यह अध्ययन करेगी कि क्या जन स्वास्थ्य से समझौता किए बिना निर्दिष्ट स्थानों पर कम मात्रा में दाना खिलाने की अनुमति दी जा सकती है या नहीं।,

समिति को 30 दिनों के भीतर अपनी रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करने को कहा गया है। स्वास्थ्य कारणों से दादर में एक कबूतरखाना को बंद करने के बीएमसी के हालिया फैसले का जैन समुदाय के सदस्यों ने विरोध किया था।。
